The Cohesion office is celebrating the success of The Moulin RougeTM Charity Ball which was held on 9th October in Aldridge, West Midlands. It was the second year that Cohesion have provided event management and entertainment sponsorship for our favourite charity, SDBTT Ben Sambrook Fund, which raises vital funds for Brain Tumour Research.

We were thrilled to be part of this not-for-profit charity event, which raised an amazing £9,500. This year has been difficult for everyone financially, but we were pleased that the evening encouraged our 150 guests to dig deep at the same time as having a fantastic night.

The evening started with a drinks reception, where guests will be met with our Moulin RougeTM style dancers in their sexy costumes and were entertained with two magicians and one of the UK’s top French style accordionists.

After starters have been enjoyed, our dancers performed their first cabaret set, with dances and songs based on Baz Luhrmann’s fantastic Moulin RougeTMmusical film.

With a backdrop of a Parisian props and slideshow, together with atmospheric  background accordion and our gold, black and red themed table dressings, our guests were transported to Paris while they enjoyed their meal.

As the meal came to a close, our own fully costumed ‘Harold Zidler’ style MC provided fundraising games, and after the speeches from our charity hosts and the raffle drawn, the Moulin RougeTM style cabaret continued with a traditional Can Can with audience participation.

The guests were then invited to visit our street artist and our fantastic casino, while our fantastic DJ Twins lead the dances and kept the dancefloor full all night.

The ball sold out almost straight away, and the raffle sold thousands of tickets, with prizes ranging from a short break in Snowdonia to a Mountain Bike, with comedy tickets  donated by some of Cohesion’s favourite artistes, including Michael McIntyre, Dave Spikey, Stephen K Amos and John Bishop.
