Cohesion watch comedians and cabaret acts throughout the year, so that we can see who would work well with our Corporate clients, and to keep ourselves updated with new talent. Our favourite time of year for this is undoubtably the Cohesion annual Fringe visit. We're not reviewers, so won't attempt to review the brilliant shows we've seen, but we can tell you the acts we saw this year who we'd recommend for your company events (in no particular order...)

Adam Hills - Sarah's favourite fringe act of 2006

Boothby Graffoe - Already one of the best comperes on the UK comedy circuit, any client would be happy to leave the hosting of any event in his capable hands.

Simon Amstell - We'd heard great things about this comedian as an awards host, so were keen to see him live. We weren't disappointed. The TV presenter turned stand up comedian seems quiet and harmless as he takes to the stage, but you are soon stunned by his sharp wit and fantastic rapport with the audience.

Rich Hall - Our first chance to see Rich live, after being a fan of his TV work for some years. His grumpy image fails to hide an incredibly likeable, friendly man, with brilliantly intelligent observations. Julie's Festival Favourite and ideal for Award ceremonies and After dinner cabaret.

Will Smith - Were he and Hugh Grant were separated at birth? The most posh comedian on the circuit returned to Edinburgh with his brilliant 'How to be Cool' show, which described Will's inability to ever be in the 'in crowd'. We absolutely loved him.

Stephen Grant - We've used Stephen for many Corporate events, from Award hosting to running a company game show, so it was good to see him in his own show again. Still as energetic as ever, Stephen has proved to us once again that he can excel in just about everything he does. Dominic Holland - We've lost count of the times we've booked Dominic for awards and after dinner slots, but his performance in Edinburgh reminded us why the clients always come back for more. He never seems to have an off day and we can always depend on him to make us laugh at everyday life.
