Entertainment company Cohesion provides the hosts, celebrity artists and entertainment for hundreds of major corporate award ceremonies & events from Education to Property. We create exciting event & marketing concepts for businesses and Arts companies and are suppliers of musicians and entertainers at Festivals, Private Parties and concert venues.
2016 is our 12th Anniversary! – Meet the Team
Cohesion builds relationships with event managers to really understand your event, audience and goals and we are experts in keeping you within a tight budget. When an act is booked through Cohesion, the artist fully understands their role and the impact you want them to make.
In August 2016, Cohesion joined forces with Pandora Events in Shenstone, near Lichfield, offering expertise in both entertainment and events, meaning Cohesion customers can also benefit from additional services such as free venue search and event logistics. For Pandora Events’ website click here.
A small company with continuity of staff from year to year, Cohesion has low overheads and a flexible working day to suit client needs. Based near Birmingham, but working mainly at London events, this enables clients to save money. We also arrange for clients to go as guests to see potential performers live, ahead of booking.
Show and events are created in-house such as the cleaned up comedy show ‘Comedy with Cake’, Charity show ‘BENefit Gig’ and ‘Juney’s Comedy Club’ (See Live Shows).
Marketing and Event services include Small Business Marketing, Concepts for Events, and Venue and Arts Marketing (www.light-house.co.uk). We have also created beautiful and unusual Apps for promotion (See Arts Marketing) and teach Arts Marketing to students. Working with our event colleagues via the Cohesion network, we can offer full Event Production, from AV to guest management to venue finding.
An introduction from our Managing Director, Julie Homfray:
“For 12 years Cohesion has built a name and reputation for great corporate entertainment, with regular clients ranging from Halfords to Times Educational Supplement to The AV Awards. Our role is to research and recommend acts for particular audiences, liaise with artists and management, negotiate and contract acts, organise payment, transport and logistics and in most cases, stage manage the artist on the day of an event. Cohesion projects over the years have ranged from iPad app production to creating a Geocaching experience for 600 Halfords staff, to teaching arts marketing to underemployed creatives in Wolverhampton.
For over three years we have been the in-house marketing and event team for Light House Media Centre, developing audiences, looking for opportunities and significantly contributing towards a 50% increase in attendance, despite a very difficult economic environment and minimal marketing budgets. Our role includes monthly programme creation, website management, flyer and poster design, social media management, event creation and management (for example the Willard Wigan Homecoming exhibition launch) and working with community groups to maximise venue use and recruiting ambassadors.
We also run community shows such as Juney’s Comedy Club and a cleaned up comedy show ‘Comedy with Cake’ which has performed in venues from small arts centres to a disused shop in Lichfield. In 2015 we created Aldridge Arts, a community project designed to link up the various creatives in the village and produce new joint productions. We are always keen to work on new projects, large or small, and look forward to bringing Cohesion to your event!”
